  • Research interest (areas): toxicology, forensic medicine (suicides, traffic traumatism), pathology (tumor and skin pathology), epidemiology (eye diseases, UV radiation, chronic non-communicable diseases).
  • Participated in number of international and domestic scientific and expert conferences.
  • Reviewer for scientific journals: Forensic Science International (CC), Collegium Antropologicum (CC), Archives of Industrial Hygiene and Toxicology (SCI).
  • Invited Editor of Supplement of scientific journal Collegium Antropologicum (CC) in 2008.
  • Actively participated in identification of victims of Croatian Homeland War.
  • During 2005 – participated in forensic-anthropological analysis of bone remnants from four karst caves in Istria – Hribce, Bršljanovica, Krog and Trstenik.
  • Since 2007– medical examiner of Primorsko-goranska County.
  • At the Department of Forensic Medicine and Criminalistics in Rijeka performed autopsies, forensic-toxicology analyses, participated in crime scene investigations and expertises.

  • Since 2004 participated in teaching of undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate students of medicine, dental medicine, medical-laboratory engineers at the Rijeka University School of Medicine, as well as undergraduate law students and postgraduate students of Criminalistic investigation.
  • Since 2010 participated in education of specialist trainees of Rijeka University Hospital, as well as Emergency Medical Service doctors and specialist in occupational medicine (injuries and forensic aspects).
