The introductory part of the Study Abroad program organized by the Institute for Anthropological Research in cooperation with North Island College from Canada was held in Zagreb between May 19 and 23, 2025. The first part of the program was conducted at the newly renovated Croatian Natural History Museum, whose director kindly gave us the premises for laboratory exercises and lectures due to the ongoing renovation of the building of the Institute for Anthropological Research. Students and a professor from North Island College listened to a series of presentations on the analysis of human skeletal remains from archaeological and forensic contexts, given by Željka Bedić and Mario Novak, experts from the Institute for Anthropological Research. The students also had the opportunity to work on skeletons from several Croatian archaeological sites in order to gain the necessary experience for the second part of the Study Abroad program, which is conducted in cooperation with the Croatian Conservation Institute at the Gorjani archaeological site from May 26 to June 13.
