Article about research on a mass grave from Roman-period Osijek (ancient Mursa)

Live Science has published an article about research on a mass grave from Roman-period Osijek (ancient Mursa), where victims of an ancient epidemic were most likely buried. The research was conducted by Mario Novak, Željka Bedić, and Barbara Kriletić of the Institute for Anthropological Research. Novak presented the findings at the 25th European Paleopathology Association Meeting, held in Berlin from 3–7 August 2026.
