Our scientist dr. Novak was interviewed by daily newspapers Jutarnji list about the results of a paleogenetic study that have been published in the journal Cell under the title “A genetic history of the Balkans from Roman frontier to Slavic migrations”. In this study led by scientists from Harvard University, with dr. Novak were dr. Petra Rajić Šikanjić, dr. Željka Bedić and dr. Mario Carić. This study presents 138 ancient genomes of people from Classical antiquity and Early Middle Ages that were unearthed on the Balkan peninsula, mainly in the areas of Croatia and Serbia.
