Yesterday, the 4th grade, with their teacher Henrieta, visited the Institute of Anthropology, which is an integral part of their PID curriculum and the teaching topic Characteristics of Man – The Human Body (Organ System).
They were welcomed by a team of archaeologists who prepared a series of interesting specimens for the fourth graders with an extensive presentation of scientific facts and interesting facts related to bones.
The students, as always, were very curious and asked a number of interesting questions.
They previously studied what anthropology (anthropo- + -ology) is, a science of universal subjectivity, studying man, his historical and geographical distribution, the laws that determine his biological and mental development, the principles of their interrelationship, and the social and cultural phenomena of different human communities.
The Institute of Anthropology is a public scientific institute that deals with scientific, professional and educational activities in the field of anthropology, in which medical, natural, biotechnological, social and human sciences are intertwined, and which focus on man.
It was another wonderful experiential learning experience for our fourth-graders that they connected with classroom content and assignments.
We thank Dr. sc. Jelena Šarac and the team of archaeologists at a separate time, organization of the visit and at a presentation with interesting facts and information.
