in Biomolecules, edited by Dr. Mirela Baus Lončar, Dr. Anita Horvatić, and Dr. Mirela Sedić.
The Special Issue focuses on protective biomolecules (adipokines, hepatokines, myokines, bioactive lipids and peptides) and their roles in metabolic and mitochondrial homeostasis, inflammation, inter-organ communication, and disease progression—including emerging views of cancer as a metabolic disease.
We welcome original research, reviews, and perspectives with translational relevance.
