Open Science was the main topic at the Horizon Europe annual conference, held on 20 May 2025 in Zagreb. The Open Science Plan of the Republic of Croatia, developed by the Ministry of Science, Education and Youth, based on the proposal of the Croatian Open Science Cloud Initiative (HR-OOZ), was presented.

The first part of the program featured a panel discussion on open science, attended by Dr. Hrvoje Meštrić, from the Ministry of Science, Education and Youth, Dr. Bojan Macan from the Ruđer Bošković Institute, Dr. Lovorka Barać Lauc from the Institute for Anthropological research, Marijana Glavica from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Zagreb, and Dr. Kristina Posavec from the Institute for Migration Research. Dr. Celjak, Head of the Data Management Sector, participated on behalf of Srce.

The panel concluded that without strong infrastructure, strategic investments, and continuous education of scientists, open science cannot take root to its full potential. Srce, with its decades-long tradition and mission of serving the scientific community, remains at the very center of this task.
